Industry Introduction:

Painting refers to cover the surface of metal or nonmetal with protective or decoration
layer, which is one of the most basic technologies used for the surface protection and
decoration of products. The painting process can be briefly summarized as follows:
pretreatment → spraying → drying or curing. Pre~treatment generally includes degre-asing, descaling and passivating (parkerising) processes. For different coating layers
and requirements on corrosion resistant, it needs to select the treatment method acc-ording to the conditions of workpiece materials, which includes degreasing, descaling,
parkerising, etc. During the pretreatment descaling process, it also needs to select the
sand blasting, shot blasting or grinding process as required in different departments
within different industries.


Industrial Characteristics:
According to the painting production process, painting waste gas mainly comes from the
pre~treatment, spraying and drying processes, the pollutants discharged mainly contain:
dust or acid mist generated during the pretreatment, paint mist and organic solvent gen-erated when painting, and organic solvent produced during the drying and volatilization.
Paint mist is mainly formed by the solvent painting materials scattered from the air painting
operation, whose components are same as these of the used painting materials. The or-ganic solvent mainly comes from the solvent and thinner when the painting materials are
in use, most of which belongs to the volatile emission, with main pollutants including xylene,
benzene, toluene, etc. The harmful waste gas discharged in the painting process comes m-ainly from the paint spraying line, where the spray booth, airing room and drying room are
the main generation sources.

Treatment Process Introduction
For the painting industry, waste gas is mainly generated from two links: the spraying
and baking links.
According to the features of waste gas generation in the painting industry, it uses the
thermal oxidation in preference and the heat is recycled to the baking process, for the
painting waste gas with large air volume, low concentration, complex components and
less recovery value.
